It's been a rough one!
So after our fantastic party for Mia last Saturday Nicoletta came down with a double ear infection and the rotovirus, man that girl knows how to party! Anyhow for anyone who has not had the pleasure of dealing with an infant with rotovirus I wouldn't wish that upon my worst enemy! It started with Nicoletta pooping while she was eating dinner. Needless to say that wasn't really out of the ordinary but the smell however was! It smelled as my friend Kristin put it best, like a barn! It also didn't help that she completely blew out of her diaper which was helping the oder escape so to speak. Luckily my mom was here and was able to help me strip her and throw her in the tub. All was going well in the tub we got her all ready for bed and I proceeded to feed her. I had her upright and she had her head laying down against my chest. She pulled herself back looked at me and then puked all down the front of me, what a sign of affection ugh?! Thanks to some miracle John had not only just gotten home but he had just opened the door to her bedroom to check on us. So Johnny took the baby and got her changed while I waddled my way down the hall to our bathroom where I had to stand in our tub and remove every article of clothing including my bra and underwear. Thanks to Nicoletta's impeccable aim I had puke down my shirt, in my bra, down my stomach and into my jeans! That began the next week of nastiness! A tell tale sign that your child has rotovirus is obviously the throwing up and diaherra but it's not only that, it's the smell that comes with it! Anyhow this has gotten graphic enough. Let's just say I never thought I would celebrate an accomplishment of my daughters that included "keeping it in her pants" so to speak. And I never thought I would be so grateful for my washing machine!
