A Weekend of Firsts!

We had a pretty exciting weekend this weekend with two major milestones. First, Luca took his first couple of steps!! He's been teasing us for awhile taking one step here or there but finally this weekend he let go and took the most consecutively in a row! Again, please excuse my annoying voice in the video. Then, Miss Nicoletta had her very first sleepover this weekend. We had Jack, Mia, Shel and Kev over on Saturday night to play and have dinner and when it came time to leave Mia didn't want to go. Completely impromptu Johnny suggests a sleepover which Kev and Shel agreed to and of course the girls were thrilled about! They were super excited and ran upstairs to pick out their jammies. Then after Luca went to sleep we all watched a little bit of a movie. They stayed up for almost 30 minutes chit chatting until John finally went up there to cut it off. When he walked in and told them it was time to go to sleep Mia says, "I'm tired and I've been trying to go to sleep but Nicki won't stop talking to me!" Poor Mia! Anyhow, they went to bed no problem and everyone stayed asleep through the night. They woke up and had doughnuts for breakfast, we all went for a walk and then played in the backyard and before we knew it it was time for a snack! We had so much fun and hopefully Mia did too. Thanks for letting us have a sleepover Auntie Shelly and Uncle Kevin we can't wait for the next one!!
