Keeping in touch with her roots!

Every year my family has made it a tradition to go to the Taste of Melrose for some good food and fun. It was a little chilly this year but we still had a great time!

I think Nicoletta's favorite part is getting to run around on the giant football field!


This kid loves corn on the cob! I'm not sure if she actually likes it or just likes the novelty of eating it off the cob?




There is a little inside joke amongst my family about this Italian dessert called "sfingi's". In the car on the way to the fest Auntie Christi was in the back trying to explain to Nicoletta what a sfingi was (it's basically a larger version of a doughnut hole or munchkin with sugar on it). Anyhow Nicoletta was pumped to try out some "Spongies" as she has so nicely renamed them!






You know the night wouldn't be complete with my child unless we dropped her pants in the middle of the action so she could go potty! There were port-a-potties there and she did a really great job going in them twice. They were surprisingly not that disgusting but fitting both of us in there was a bit of a challenge. Also the second time we went the sun started to go down and she didn't like that I couldn't turn the lights on so when the sun was completely down and she said she had to go I knew there was no way she was going in a dark potty! We were all sitting in a circle with our chairs so we busted out her little portable potty and she did her thing! At least we know she doesn't have stage freight?!
