Shedd Aquarium

My girlfriend from work, Melanie, and I have been trying to plan a trip down to the Shedd Aquarium for months! We finally got it together and picked a weekend to go. They have season passes and were nice enough to bring us as their free guests! We took the train down, Melanie and her family (husband and twins, Kyle and Emma) got on in Crystal Lake and we jumped on in Palatine. Unfortunatly John was coaching in a tournament that weekend and because his team advanced he was unable to come with us. The kids were AWESOME on the train and thanks to Melanie and her hubs jumping off the train with me to help me on and let me off we made it successfully! Once downtown Chris came and met me for some extra hands and to be honest a good excuse to go to the Aquarium! I haven't been down there since I was a kid. We went in with no pretences of how long we'd stay etc. Well we wound up there for HOURS! The kids had a blast and everyone did great! Luca passed out before we even walked into the Aquarium after lunch and after a quick nap was ready to go. There was so much to do and see, Nicoletta (my little scardy cat) even sat through Dora 4D AND put the glasses on, big step for her!! She was so cute trying to reach out and grab the butterflies and flowers that were coming at her! It was an awesome/exhausting day!
