We have BIG news around the Tomaino house these days. For over a week now Nicoletta has been in big girl undies with success! We were having some issues with the pooping but we're peeing like a champ!
Monday at school she pooped on the potty which we were SO excited about. Then yesterday when I picked her up, they mentioned she hadn't pooped yet so I knew it was coming!
We got home and after some playing she announced that she had to go potty. She stripped down and peed like a champ but still no poop. After her successful trip to the potty she decided she didn't want to put her shorts back on so she spent the remainder of the night in a t-shirt and undies. Anyhow, we moved the potty into the family room awaiting the big poop moment. She kept saying she had to go, she would sit for about 30 seconds and then pop up. Somewhere between the poop teasers she managed to loose her undies too. So our butt naked little girl was just running around the family room as John and I were finishing dinner. I kept telling John she was going to poop on the floor and we needed to watch her and not let her go into a room by herself. A few times she kept squatting near the fireplace like a dog and I would yell from the table "Hurry hurry get on the potty!" So she'd run over and tease us some more. Then one final time she squatted, I shouted, she ran over to the potty and then announced "I DID IT". We went running over and sure enough SHE HAD!!!! Luckily it was in the potty and not on the floor :-)
I'll tell you one thing, potty training is one interesting ride!
