It's been crazy...

Ever since we got back from Disney it has been non-stop craziness! John was out of town for a week. He wasn't even home yet and I left to go to New York for a week. Before I came home from New York our college friends all came in town for a little annual reunion.

Anyhow, with all of the ciaos, I decided to head up to meet everyone in Wisconsin just for the day rather than spending the weekend away without Nicoletta. We had a 3.5 hour drive ahead of us. To back up for over a week now Nicoletta has been wearing big girl undies and has been rather successful with it! So with potty training comes accidents and the realization that if you're not going to be close to a bathroom then the mini potty MUST come with you everywhere. So I packed up the car and the potty and off we went to Wisconsin.

About an hour and a half into it she announces that she has to go potty! I reconfirm and ask if she REALLY has to go. She proceeds to tell me yes. I explained to her that I could pull over but she would have to pee pee on the side of the road next to the car. I asked her if she could do that and she accepted the challenge and said yes!

So I pull over on I-90 as far as I could on the shoulder. I get out and grab the potty out of the trunk. I get things set up and then get her out of the car. As cars are literally speeding past us she tells me "YAY MAMMA THE POTTY IS SINGING I DID PEE PEE ON THE POTTY!!" (side note: her potty sings a song when she does her business in there) Of course I am hysterically laughing and clapping for her and then I HAD to get my camera to capture our W.T. moment!!



We had to stop one more time before making it up to the lake house but at least the second time we were on a back country road rather than a major expressway!
