We decided the day after Thanksgiving rather than go shopping with the crazies we'd instead take the kiddos to an indoor water park. We initially were going to go up to the Dells but then found a park in Elmhurst. It took us about 20 minutes to convince Nicoletta to even go into the pool area. She saw a giant play area with a bucket that would fill up and dump down over everything and she was NOT having it. Once she finally let me get her close enough to the door I showed her that there was a regular pool she could swim in. Okay so first crisis averted. We get inside get everyone undressed and as I go to get my bathing suit out to go change into it I realize I DON"T HAVE IT!!! So after a quick phone call to my dear mother it was quickly brought to me! The place was okay nothing spectacular. The pool was FREEZING and that's where she wanted to spend most of her time. We tried to take Luca for a dip considering he LOVES baths but it was so cold he was having NONE of it! At one point Nicoletta mustered up the courage to go into the play land with John and as he was convincing her that they'd be safe under this little roof while walking to the slides the giant bucket completely dumped over both of them sending her into tears and that was the end of the playland. I don't know that we'd go back but it was fun for a little family outing.
