Grandma Katie was nice enough to treat Nicoletta and I with the hottest tickets in town to Barney's Birthday Party of course! We got all dolled up and had a fun girls night out. When we initially got there she was excited and of course took Grandma for a few bucks at the souvenir stand! As we were walking around the lobby before the show she happened to glance in and see the inside of the theater. She stopped dead in her tracks and said "I don't want to go in there!" My mom and I looked at each other with panic in our eyes and I know my first thought was "Oh Crap!" Let me back track by telling you that when I was in the hospital after having Luca, My mom, Papa and Auntie Nicole took Nicoletta to see the Disney Princesses on Ice at the United Center and after about 3 minutes of the show Nicoletta said she had to go potty, took Grandma outside and NEVER went back in. Poor Auntie Nicole took pictures of each act and then would run out to the hall and show Nicoletta what was going on again like I said she's a bit of a scardy cat!
Anyhow, I bent down next to her and just said "Nicoletta would I ever take you anywhere scary?" she of course said no and then allowed us to take her inside. I know at first she was a bit hesitant and nervous but as soon as the music started going she was PUMPED! She was singing along and dancing on our laps and then got really brave and started dancing in the aisles with the other kids. Her and this other little girl would totally rocking it out it was hilarious!
After the show we went to Applebee's and since Barney didn't have a birthday cake we ate dessert in honor of his birthday!
