Nicoletta and I were laying in bed the other night winding her down to go to sleep, it's usually where she and I have our deepest conversations. So she was asking how many Papa's, Nonnie's and Grandma's her cousins (Jack, Mia, Gabi and Mikey) have and then was asking me to name them. I started telling her Jack and Mia have 2 Papa's, Papa Mike and Papa Jim etc. So when it came back around to her and Luca I told her that she actually had 3 Papa's and the conversation went something like this:
M: Well actually Nicoletta you have 3 Papa's; Papa Mike, Papa John and Papa George who was Mommy's Daddy.
N: After a brief pause, Oh well Luca is Luca George
M: Yes honey you're right he's Luca George because he's named after my Daddy.
N: Oh well where is he?
M:(Thinking to myself I can't believe I opened this can of worms during bedtime) Well honey he's up in heaven
N: Okay but where is he where is heaven?
M: Well honey it's up in the sky
N: Oh so we can't go visit him?
M: Nope we can't go visit him but he's up there
N: Oh well what color pajamas do you think he's wearing?
M: (trying to fight back tears) Um I don't know maybe blue ones?!
N: No Mama he's wearing yellow ones I think!
