We laid pillows on the floor in front of her crib, held our breathes and went for it. The first night she cried for about 20 seconds and then there was silence. I was convinced we were going to go up to check on her before bed and she was going to be in the middle of the floor with her face in the carpet but to our shock and surprise she was sleeping like an angel in her bed and continued to stay there through the WHOLE NIGHT!! Multiple times throughout the night and the next morning John and I both agreed that it just couldn't be that easy that something would eventually have to give! She continued to do well through naps and through the next night until Sunday night. She went down like an angel and when we went to check on her we found her like this.....
Okay no problem I just shifted her around to be laying the right way and we were good to go....until 1:30am when she fell out of her bed! There I found her half asleep kneeling stuck in between the two pillows we strategically placed on the floor. So I picked her up gave her a hug and put her back down in bed and instantly she was back to sleep. Then there was Monday night, this night was not so smooth. She fell out of bed 4 times (which translates to us being up 4 times) and that last time was at 5:15am when she decided she didn't want to go back into her bed and she was done sleeping!! After facing reality that our sweet little daughter is a wild sleeper and unless she's confined she's going to roll out, investing in a new set of sheets and building Fort Knox out of pillows we tonight are trying this.....
Nicoletta in yet another Bigger Big Girl Bed! Wish us luck!!!
